THE PURPOSE OF THE ACN COUNSELING SERVICES IS TO PROVIDE:

• Educational resource material on mental health issues and relationship problems.

• Seminars/workshops to promote preventive measures for dealing with issues of concern.

• A support network for lay counseling for those seeking help, and if appropriate, to direct them to an approved professional counselor.

• Regular scheduled workshops in order to provide continuing education and development of lay counselors.

• Church presentations on specific topics of interest, upon request.

OPERATION OF THE ACN COUNSELING SERVICES:

• The ACN Counseling Committee oversees the operation of the ACN Counseling Services and is accountable to the Ontario Canada elders.

• Each local church has a contact person and a support group approved by the local leadership. The contact person is the information channel between the ACN Counseling Committee and the local church. The local support group works with and is accountable to the local leadership.

FUNDING OF THE ACN COUNSELING SERVICES:

• Individual donations. Donations to the ACN Counseling Services can be made through the ACCMBC website or by ear-marked cheque through your local Apostolic Christian Church (Nazarean).

• Church annual fee — according to local membership.
